It’s actually convenient to do so when you are going to be using the console with it anyways.
For eg I dont expect everyone to calibrate their 32 inch 100% dci p3 monitors with a professional calibrator. If they can good, but if there are simpler ways, why not?
Also I dont know if you understood whats being shown, it is for the consoles benefit.
