To Agent75’s point, Sony exclusives, at their core, are Ubisoft open world games …just with more polish.
They have excellent stories and production values, but still follow the same “formula”. Despite this, they manage to escape the criticisms Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dog games get.
I still think Sony exclusives are cool, it’s just that some people prefer deeper experiences. I wouldn’t mind a top down TLOU SRPG (sort of like State of Decay) where you have to survive with a group of people.
