I’m excited that there’s a Horizon VR game, but I’m a little bummed that it isn’t Horizon:FW that has VR support instead. I kinda hoped they’d be trying to build VR support into more of the core games.
HOWEVER, don’t get me wrong. I’m well aware that most of the best experiences in VR are one’s built from the ground up with VR in mind. But we saw that games like Resident Evil 7 worked great with VR support just added on to the base game, and I was hoping with the added power of PS5 – and the foveated rendering thanks to eye tracking – that they could manage to pump out more VR support on standard games.
It may still come to pass, obviously, but I would have expected them to show off support via their first party titles if that were the case. Still VERY excited for PSVR2, the specs sound INSANE. Truly looking forward to its release.
