Xbox Confirms It Won’t be on E3 Showfloor, Will Co-Stream Digital Week

I miss the days where all the major players were attending and trying. Ubisoft, EA, Capcome, Activision of Course Sony, MS and Nintendo.

I’m someone that doesn’t mind change but in this case there was no reason to change everything up especially when it comes to output and announcements.

Like what happened? Why are Ubisoft, EA and activision so mediocre? It’s either not enough announce games, they no show, the games aren’t what we want, they get cancelled or delayed indefinitely.

I get it the gaming industry 15+ years ago is different. The user bases, the cost of games which is the main reason.

It’s not all bad. Sony is still delivering with out E3 with compelling announcements and games. MS is finally getting serious again in announcing compelling stuff they just need release dates and stick to them. Nintendo is just Nintendo, nothing’s changes with them usually.

AAA don’t need to be Destiny style live service. Look at Sony they’ve proven time and time again that single player games have and will always work and always have a place in the industry. It just sucks to see today’s gamers can’t play solo games and need to play a MP games Fornites, Minecrafts etc.

They have no attention span for a single player. If they’re not unlocking something every hour they get bored. It’s pathetic now major players are making games for these kids now LS, progression always online “it’s better with friends ” types of games. Suicide squad got delayed because of the tremendous backlash not everyone wants these games especially if it’s blatant copy and paste of another failed super hero IP. marvels The Avengers. It should of been Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy except with a suicide squad a twist.

Anyways devs need to get creative again. Be different and distinct like they use to be. I hear it already “but that’s risky!” of course it is its always been risky being unique and compelling in any game period of time. Yes games are more expensive to make more than ever. If that’s the case then the big players need to be wise, dig deeper in the creative pool and make something work. If not then go back ro their older IP that we haven’t seen in a ages (they are with Dead Space remake and upcoming Splinter Cell remake Resident Evil 4)

That’s a start but eventually we’ll need something new.

Rant over.
