No, Hogwarts Legacy isn’t popular because gamers want a rich open world…this is actually Hogwarts Legacy’s Biggest flaw.
It’s popular because people wanted a good harry potter game and finally got one. Not to forget the free marketing that the game got from the people hating on JK R.
The open world is very Formulaic. It is Everything a generic open world has but only has a coat of the harry potter universe. The game is also very easy. The is for some reason a loot system and I don’t know why it even exists.
Elden Ring is the epitome of an open world as it doesn’t forget what makes souls borne games work.
Hogwarts Legacy’s Success Signifies Rich Open Worlds Are Still Gamers’ Choice
