Is it different with USB cables?
Recently I tried 5 USB-C cables(.2 to 2 meters from various brands including Anker) in preparation for my Quest 2, and only one of them managed 3.0 speeds, and that was the short cable that came with my ADATA m.2 enclosure(was instantly 390-400MBps)…. I believe all of them were marketed for 3.0.. yet the other 4 only achieved 2.0 speeds(38MBps), same enclosure, same drive.
How is HDMI different in that the cable will not matter?
This is absolutely a scam, but cables do matter to an extent, and it’s not necessarily the amazing materials or configuration of the cable(fiber, gold, twisted, etc), but more about the data points.
