Epic says there are now more than 500 million Epic Games accounts

I always wonder why Epic never show us their actual numbers. They claim they have 500 million Epic Games accounts, but never really reveal the stats. Hell, Valve has a STATS tab showing the number of people playing certain games (Dota 2 has 585,202 concurrent players rn). On the other hand, people claim that Fortnite has about 3 million concurrent players, give or take. While Dota 2’s number is miniscule in size, at least Valve is honest about their numbers. As far as I’m concerned, that 3 mil is inflated to exaggerate Fortnite’s popularity.

It wasn’t until the Apple vs. Epic court case where players get to see real numbers from Epic, and boy were we in a real treat. I guess it takes another courtroom drama to reveal more numbers from Epic that they’re hiding from the gaming community.
