I was expecting full on Discord integration so we could chat and message with Discord friends and truly be cross platform and chat with PC/Mobile based on what Jim Ryan mentioned last year in his post. Instead, we got activity integration which Steam and Xbox have had for years…..what a letdown if I’ve ever seen one.
Jim Ryan 2021: “…Our goal is to bring the Discord and PlayStation experiences closer together on console and mobile starting early next year, allowing friends, groups, and communities to hang out, have fun, and communicate more easily while playing games together.” Where is it Jim? Discord says this is all they had under wraps and it was the news we were waiting on. Discord: “…Of course, everything needed to stay super-secret at the time, so we couldn’t share anything quite yet.” Discord’s statement today infers this is all they had for us, feels like we got duped, no mention of anything else to come in the future
