Comparing Sony and Microsoft’s Approach to Acquisitions and Exclusivity

It slays me that people think that MS would throw down that insane amount of money for Activision and then believe MS cares about the potential loss of money of a player base on a competing platform, the amount they may loose is pennies compared to what they could gain.
MS not only wants people to move over to Xbox, but more so they want people to subscribe to GP, whether that be Xbox, PC or cloud. They won’t get that if they allow future CoD games on PS.

We already saw MS’s willingness to make recently purchased studio games exclusive with Starfield and Elder Scrolls, why would CoD be any different?

And I also agree, CoD players are not loyal to a console they are loyal to the game and will go where ever the next CoD will take them. It’s why Sony spent all that money locking up timed exclusives for CoD for their platform.
