Elden is going to be great no doubt, but Horizon has an advantage this time. PS5 owners are hungry for PS5 games, and this one will appeal to most owners of the console, imo. IMO, you will see most happy PS5 owners go out and buy this one.

This is controversial, but I also think that BotW1 was a much better game vs Horizon 1, than Elden will be vs Horizon 2. Not because Elden is worse than BotW1, but because Horizon 2 will be much, much better than the above average Horizon 1. I mean, Ghosts of Tsushima was much better than Horizon 1(imo) but I can’t imagine Horizon 2 not being way better than Ghosts based on what I’ve seen so far.

We tend to just classify all first party games as untouchable, ect, but Horizon 1 had issues that just weren’t in Ghosts and most other first party Sony games. The scope was too large to perfect in one game. I just suspect that development never really stopped and I know GG can do way, way better on a second try, since they already did the hard part which was release a game from the practice materials for Horizon 2.

Catherine was the(great) practice game that let Persona 5 come into being, in my mind, Horizon 1 is similar, and Horizon 2 will be the Persona 5 to Horizon 1’s Catherine.
