i think you are confusing things. When people talk about Nintendo doing their own thing, they mean in terms of their design and game complexity. But everyone knows they all compete in the grand scheme of things that is the consumer electronics market. All brands do no matter the type, be it a phone, tablet, game console, smart tv. If people are buying, they all are wanting some of that $$.

As for the switch being outsold… even if sony and ms were able to meet demand, there is still a pretty big market for the switch. It isnt like all of their sales are a result of people not being able to get a PS5/XSX and instead settling for a switch. They would (will) still sell these crazy numbers because people want one. It has a ton of great games and appeals to pretty much anybody. The stay at home gamer, the on the go gamer, the casual gamer, the hardcore gamer. They just happened to find the right balance to be successful.

Is it as appealing as the Wii/DS…? Its on the right track to find out.
